We enter the annual South West in Bloom competition run by the Royal Horticultural Society and have achieved Gold for several years, along with numerous Neighbourhood and Tourism Awards. The awards reflect the hard work and dedication of our volunteers and members of the community who also help us to keep Babbacombe and St Marychurch a special place.
The South West in Bloom area stretches from Thornbury in South Gloucestershire to Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire and all the way down to Penzance in Cornwall with over 60 groups entering the competition each year.
Team Bloomers continue to be highly motivated in keeping the area as beautiful, clean, and colourful as possible. New younger team members have brought an injection of different ideas to keep Babbacombe Bay an inviting and attractive area to visit and to enjoy the spectacular views and floral displays.

Babbacombe Bay was presented with a Gold Award and also the Portman Cup. The first time this cup has been won by a Torbay town.

Babbacombe Bay was presented with a Gold Award in the Sargent Cup and also the Sargent Cup. The cup returned to a Torbay town for the first time in 52 years.

We were presented with a Gold Award in the Portman Cup along with the Barry Cruse trophy for the Best Web Site in the South West in Bloom Competition. We were thrilled to win this award for the first time in our history. A big thank you to Aspire Direct Marketing for designing the site for us.
