St Marychurch Precinct was opened in 1978 after the first stage of the by-pass was completed.
The village has existed since Saxon times being a group of dwellings surrounding the church. St Marychurch still keeps its village atmosphere with mostly small independent shops. The car free area is relaxed with plenty of outside seating and eating spaces. The Bloomers group work with the traders and Swisco to keep the village looking special full of colour and vibrant. Tidying and dead heading the boxes keeps everything looking cared for. This is easy gardening, no bending necessary because they are all raised beds. Why not join in the fun?
